PARIS ATTACK
Paris Attack: BBOG Group
Commiserates With France
The #BringBackOurGirls group has joined
the world in condemning the terrorists’
attack in Paris, France and commiserated
with the French government and families
of the victims of the attack.
In a series of tweets from the leader of
BBOG, Oby Ezekwesili’s twitter handle,
the group said “Paris attack is yet
another reason to ponder what our world
has become. We stand with and pray for
the people of France, be comforted.”
Meanwhile, one of the terrorists involved
in the Friday night’s attacks in Paris has
been officially identified as a Parisian,
according to local media reports in
France.
The man, who was killed at the Bataclan,
was identified from his fingerprints and
was from the southern Parisian
neighbourhood of Courcouronnes.
French reports say that the man, who
was around 30 years old, was already
known to French anti-terrorist authorities
prior to the Friday night’s attacks.
Also, a Syrian passport has been
retrieved from one of the suicide
bombers who blew himself up outside
the Stade de France stadium on Friday
night, according to two French police
officers.
An Egyptian passport has also been
reportedly recovered from one of the
three men who attacked the stadium
another of the stadium suicide bombers
is believed to have been as young as 15
years old.
Three of the eight terrorists have now
been identified: the two suicide bombers
with the Syrian and Egyptian passports,
respectively, outside the stadium, and
the known French extremist at the
Bataclan.
It is believed that the Syrian passport
identified its owner as being 25 years
old.
However it has not yet been confirmed
whether the Syrian passport is authentic,
or was one of the many forged passports
flooding into Europe with the refugee
crisis.
Also, lawyer Valentin Ribet, a graduate of
the London School of Economics, has
been named as one of the over 127
people killed in the Paris terror attacks.
“Lawyers have lost one of their
colleagues, Valentin Ribet. We share the
pain of his family and friends. We are
thinking of them,” the Paris union of
lawyers said in a statement.
The London School of Economics (LSE)
tweeted about the sad death of Ribet
who graduated from the university in
2014.
