Nigeria Loses Over N127bn To Internet Fraud Yearly The representative of the Department for International Development (DfID) in Nigeria, Professor Olu Ogunsakin has revealed that Nigeria losses over N127 billion to internet fraud and warned that the figures will go high if noting is done to check it. Professor Ogunsakin made the revelation at the launching of the cybercrime forensic investigation by the Inspector General of Police in Abuja on Monday. He explained that Internet fraud is not peculiar to Nigeria or any other country but has become a global problem and called for the need for international collaboration in tackling this problem.
