Stella Damasus, Daniel Ademinokan Launch ‘Mon Afrik TV’ Renowned Nollywood thespian, Stella Damasus, has partnered with award- winning filmmaker and director, Daniel Ademinokan to launch the test transmission of their online television station called “Mon Afrik TV.’’ According to Stella, Mon Afrik TV is a blend of BET, MTV, E-ONLINE, NBC and CW Network all rolled into one but with 100% per cent African content. She said, “that is what we have created and we want Africans all over the world to see this as their own medium of expression, not just another TV station,’’ she said. UEFA Champions League draw Arsenal have been drawn against Barcelona while PSG will face Chelsea in the Champions League last 16. The Gunners have been knocked out at the last 16 stage in the last five consecutive seasons and will have to overcome the holders, whom they lost to back in 2011 having held a 2-1 first-leg lead, if they are to break that trend. 500 UNEMPLOYED GRADUATES UNDERGOING 3 DAY CAREER TRAINING

No fewer than 500 unemployed graduates in Kano are currently undergoing three days training on career development and entrepreneurship skills. Mr Peter Papka, the Director, Graduate Internship Scheme, made the announcement on Thursday in Kano at the commencement of the training. He said that after the training, the graduates would be expected to develop action plan that would guide them in the next few years of their lives. “It is expected that from this training, those of you who have not begun to plan for their exit should do so without further delay. “This is a call to those about exiting to refocus their energies into being employers of labour as against being an employee. “Opportunities for being an employee in an organisation are getting slimmer and more stiffly competitive,’’ he said.
